3D Modeling and Mechanical Design

Solid (3D) models capture ideas and concepts into virtual objects able to be 3D printed, CNC machining, visualized and used in simulations, dimensioned fabrication drawings, virtual assemblies, mold making, documentation and more. We use the latest tool from SolidWorks to create and manage our models.
2KR Systems are experts in mechanical design and design for manufacture (DFM). We understand what it takes to move complex ideas and problems into products and solutions. We work with materials like metals, plastics, elastomers, fluids and even wood.

FEA & CFD Simulations & Analysis

Simulations are one of the "magics" of solid modeling where loads and flows can be applied to virtual 3D computer models to see how they perform and reacts to stimulus. Countless hours, days sometimes even weeks or months can be saved through simulation versus prototyping alone. 2KR Systems uses Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software to simulate force, pressure, vibration, impact, heat and fluid flow using.

Electronic & PCB Design

Our electrical engineers use software tools to create analog and digital circuit designs, simulation operation, layout multilayer circuit boards and create fimware.

Software Design

Our software engineers create easy to use mobile and web apps and embedded controllers using Java, Python, C, C++, Ruby and more.

Assemblies

2KR sources and assembles mechanical and electrical components into finished products .

3D Printing & Rapid Prototypes

New uses for 3D printing is appearing everyday! 2KR uses 3D prints to visualize and verify concepts, fit check, strength testing and to fabricate select components used our products.

Fabrication & Manufacturing

2KR uses both in-house fabrication and outsourcing to create the components needed in our products. Whenever possible we use local suppliers to support our community. We also consider environmental sustainability when selecting materials, fabrication processes and transportation methods.

Packaging

Good packaging gets products safely from point A to B. Typically our dock to your door... Solid modeling speeds design and improves fit. We aim to use sustainable and recyclable materials.
